1 . Open the Closure
Use a screwdriver to unlock and separate the buckles and side gussets on both sides of the fiber optic splice closure. Carefully lift the upper cover to open the housing.

2. Branch Fiber Optic Cable Construction
Prepare the branch optical cable by stripping at least 1000 mm of the outer sheath. Cut off the central strength member at a distance of at least 125 mm from the edge. Then, strip approximately 50 mm of bare fiber and insert it into a bare fiber protection tube for added protection.

3 . Cable Insertion and Fixing
Use a knife to make an appropriate slit on the sealing rubber. Insert the prepared optical cable through the slit, ensuring a snug fit.
Figure 03: Sealing Construction
Push the cable into the closure in the direction of the arrow. Secure it using the built-in cable clamp and fix the strength member firmly using the dedicated fixing bracket.
Figure 04: Fixing the Optical Cable
Neatly coil excess fiber inside the box and fasten it with a cable tie. Protect bare fibers to be spliced with transparent sleeves and route them into the splice tray.

4 . PLC Splitter Installation
Insert the mini steel tube-type PLC splitter into the designated clip area in the splitter tray. Connect the splitter's pigtail ends to the outdoor adapters. Manage and route excess fibers within the tray for a clean layout.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: How do I install this fiber optic splice closure for aerial deployment?
It supports aerial mounting via tension clamps. Secure the bracket around the box and route the cable through the aerial hardware kit.
Q2: What types of fiber cables are compatible?
The closure supports loose tube, armored, flat drop (4×7mm), and circular optical cables from Ø3mm up to Ø20mm.
Q3: Can I use OptiTap connectors from other brands?
Yes. The OptiTap ports are compatible with standard hardened connector interfaces, including third-party ruggedized SC/APC OptiTap equivalents.
Q4: Is the closure reusable after opening?
Yes. The mechanical seal design allows multiple re-entries for maintenance, upgrades, or additional splicing.
Q5: What's included in the standard package?
Each closure comes with sealing gaskets, trays, cable fixing accessories, and an installation guide. Accessories like splitters and pigtails can be ordered separately.
